What we collect and where it lives

CountUp does not collect or transmit your personal data. Your counters and history are stored on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework; simple app preferences (like haptics and sound settings) are stored using Apple's UserDefaults. Nothing is uploaded to any server, and we have no user accounts, no registration, and no sign-in.

Analytics

CountUp uses TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service, to understand anonymous, aggregate product usage - for example, that the app was opened, a counter was created, the Pro paywall was shown, or a purchase was completed.

These signals are not tied to your name, email, or Apple ID, and are not linked to your advertising identifier (IDFA).

Advertising and third-party data (free tier)

The free version of CountUp shows ads served by Google AdMob. CountUp does not display Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt and does not access Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA).

AdMob may still receive limited app and device context that is necessary to load and measure ads, as described in Google's own SDK documentation and privacy materials.

For more on how Google handles advertising data, see Google's Privacy Policy.

CountUp Pro removes all advertising. No AdMob activity occurs once Pro is unlocked.

In-App Purchases

CountUp Pro is a one-time, non-consumable purchase handled entirely by Apple's App Store and StoreKit 2. We do not receive or store your payment information. Apple manages the transaction and issues us only a confirmation that the purchase was completed.

You can restore your purchase at any time using the "Restore Purchases" option in the app.

Data we do NOT collect

To be clear, CountUp does not collect any of the following:

Your name, email address, phone number, or physical address. Your payment card details. Your location. Your contacts. Your health or fitness data. Your browsing or search history.

Children

CountUp is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any data from children.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, the new version will be published at this URL and the "Last updated" date will change. For significant changes, we will include a notice in the next app update.
